Apparently, these books don’t show up as clickable items on some browsers. Beats me, but the books I think you might like if you got something out of Tokyo Vice are
1. Tokyo Underworld by Robert Whiting
2. Pink Box by Joan Sinclair
3. Japanamerica by Roland Kelts
All three of these books are very well done and say a lot about Japanese subculture.

Nope, they are still not showing up on my Foxfire based web browser.
Which doesn’t matter as it turns out my local library only has one of them. I suppose I should just be glad they have Tokyo Vice
