For those of you who don’t follow the Ryu ga Gotoku: Of the End Twitter feed through their nifty application we previously reviewed, it was announced today that the game’s new Japan release date is June 9, 2011. The game’s release had been indefinitely postponed along with a number of other titles due to the March 11 disaster that has devastated regions of Tohoku.

The game’s project manager wrote on the official blog earlier today that part of the proceeds from sales of the game will be donated to the Japan Red Cross Great Tohoku Earthquake fund. The first printing of the game will also come with a limited-edition Ryu ga Gotoku “Ganbarou Nippon!” sticker (龍が如く がんばろう、日本!ステッカー) as an extra incentive to pick up the game.

Both in the virtual world and the real world, the yakuza are donating to the relief effort.
